The Poipu Ocean View Resorts staff is pleased to host you and we all wish you a wonderful vacation. Please do not hesitate to call our Front Office Staff (ext. 300) if you need anything. We ask you to abide by the house and pool rules set forth by the Poipu Kapili Association to promote harmonious living and maintain the friendly, pleasant, peaceful ambiance Poipu Kapili is renowned for. Please review the rules with your children before they visit the swimming pool.

House Rules:

	All guests must be registered with POVR at the Front Office Entryways and lanais must be kept clean and well organized.
	Shoes may be left outside but everything else (including but not limited to boogie boards, surf boards, towels, beach chairs and beach mats) must be kept indoors.
	Use the Sidewalks to travel between condominiums so that you will not disturb guests relaxing in their units or on their lanais
	Lock all doors when leaving the unit; turn off all lights, fans and appliances when not in use.
	It is wise to lock all lower doors and louvers on your front door when you are out or sleeping.
	All noise, from whatever source, including televisions, radios, musical instruments, shall be minimized so as to avoid disturbing the neighbors, particularly after 10 pm.
	Please park in your numbered stall. Second cars and visitors should park only in unnumbered spaces at the back of the property.
	No activity shall be engaged in and no substance introduced into or manufactured within the apartment that might result in any violation of law.
	Pool towels are provided.
	Please do not remove sheets, bedding, bath towels or stereos from the unit for use at the beach.
	The speed limit in the parking area is 5mph. Please use caution while driving on the property. When you leave be sure to "buckle up" as required by Hawaii law.
	Bicycles, tricycles, skateboards etc. are not be used on the property's sidewalks, the parking stalls or the tennis courts.
	Charcoal or gas barbeques are not permitted on lanais or balconies or entryways or units themselves.
	Please do not exchange lanai furniture, kitchenware or other furnishings.
	Individual owners furnish their condominiums.
	Discharging fireworks is prohibited on property.

Pool Rules:

	Pool hours are 8 a.m.- 8 p.m.
	Please do not enter the pool until cleaning is completed each morning.
	No lifeguard is present. Guests swim at their own risk.
	A flotation ring, for use in an emergency, is located on the side of the pool equipment shed. Please report any emergencies immediately to the Front Office. Dial 9_911 to report an emergency if the office is closed.)
	Guests and owners are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children at all times. Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult unless the parent or guardian deems the child a competent swimmer.
	Pool toys are not allowed (including but not limited to scuba gear, boogie boards, toy). Snorkeling equipment (mask, and breathing tubes) are allowed.
	Flotation device attached to the body (such as water wings) may be used.
	No diving is allowed. (The depth of the pool is generally about 4 feet; the deepest part is 6 feet at the east side.)
	Running, pushing, jumping and organized games such as "Marco Polo" are prohibited.
	Handrails are for safety purposes and may not be used as slides.
	No radios, stereos, etc...may be used at the pool without earphones. Babies must wear snug fitting swim diapers.

	Spitting, spouting of water and blowing the nose in the pool are strictly prohibited.
	Every person must take a cleansing shower before entering the pool.
	If a bather leaves to use the toilet, another cleansing slower must be taken before re-entering the pool.
	Please do not bring glass or breakable containers to the pool area. (Use plastic cups and dishes. Broken glass means closure and draining of the pool for safety reasons.
	Maximum number of guests you are allowed at the pool is limited to four people if you have friends or family visiting from other properties.
	The Resident Manager has the right to remove any person from the pool or pool area.

Tennis Rules:

	Tennis courts are for tennis play only. (Skateboards, bicycles and other activities are not allowed.)
	Court hours are 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. and must be reserved in advance through the POVR front office. (Reservations may be made 24 hours in advance. Cancellations should be called into the office as soon as possible.)
	Proper tennis attire and white sole or non-marking tennis shoes are required.
	Court time should be limited to 1 hour for singles, 1½ hours for doubles when other players are waiting for courts.
	Singles must give way to doubles after one set.
	Absolutely no food or beverages are allowed on the courts.
